FINAL BUDGET IN TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE

            Andrew J. Zarutskie, Town Clerk of the Town of Newburgh, has announced that the final Budget for the year 2009, as adopted by the Town Board, has been filed in his office and is available for public examination during normal business hours.   The Town Clerk’s office is open 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

            Zarutskie made his announcement at the December 1 Town Board meeting.  At that time, he explained that it is still impossible to post the budget in its entirety on the Town web site.  He did point out, however, that Town Councilman Gil Piaquadio does display there a pie graph which summarizes the budget.

  He also made a plea for residents to deposit new, unwrapped toys in the “Toys for Tots” receptacle in the lobby of Town Hall between now and Christmas.
