NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PRELIMINARY BUDGET

OF THE TOWN OF NEWBURGH FOR THE YEAR 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Newburgh for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025, has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Newburgh, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York 12550, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours.

The Town Board of the Town of Newburgh shall hold a Public Hearing on said Preliminary Budget on October 29, 2024 at 10:00 o’clock A.M. at the Town Hall, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York 12550.  At such Hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the Preliminary Budget as compiled, or for or against any item or items therein contained.    

The following are the proposed 2025 salaries of certain Town Officers of the Town of Newburgh:

Supervisor $ 138,504.23

Deputy Supervisor $  15,252.42

Councilmen/woman - each (4) $  41,324.43

Town Clerk $  88,466.27

Receiver of Taxes $  97,247.54

Town Justice – each (2) $  79,669.06

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

Release Date: September 25, 2024

Re: Notice of Special Meeting

A special meeting of the Town of Newburgh Town Board will be held on Monday 
September 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at 1496 Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh.

The sole purpose of this meeting is for the Town Board to consider approving  the final order and Bond Resolution for 
the Levinson Heights water district.

This meeting will be open to the public.  There will be no public comments since a public hearing was held in the past.

Notice of Special Meeting of The Town of Newburgh Town Council Tuesday 

May 7, 2024, at 10:00am. The location will be at Town Hall 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York. 

The reason for this special Meeting will be for the Review of Financial Reports 

               This meeting will be open to the Public

Notice of Special Meeting

The Town of Newburgh Town Board will hold a special meeting on May 7 , 2024 at   9:30 a.m. at the Town Hall, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, NY  12550, the sole purpose of which is to consider acting on a resolution to join with other New York State municipalities and individuals as plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the State of New York and/or appropriate State officials and any other appropriate parties challenging the “Even Year Election Law”, Chapter 241 of  the Laws of 2023, which moves many local elections to even numbered years and to retain the firm of Troutman Pepper as legal counsel for the litigation.
