NEWBURGH TOWN HALL OPEN
ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 26
Residents of the Town of Newburgh who have business to conduct at Town Hall but find it difficult to visit during normal business hours will have an opportunity to conduct their business on Saturday, January 26th from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
At that time, both the Receiver of Taxes office and the Town Clerk’s office will be open to conduct all normal transactions. Town Hall is located at 1496 Route 300.
The Receiver of Taxes office will be accepting property tax payments. The deadline for property tax payments for 2019 without penalty is Thursday, January 31. Deborah Smith is the Receiver of Taxes.
The Town Clerk’s office will offer all of their regular services, including the issuance of marriage licenses, fishing licenses, dog licenses, handicapped parking permits, and all notary public services.
Andrew Zarutskie is the Town Clerk, and he will be on site on January 26 along with both his deputies, Joseph Pedi and Lisa Ayers. Both Zarutskie and Pedi are notaries public.
Zarutskie said he has already spoken to several couples who are planning Valentine’s Day weddings, and so January 26 will be the perfect time to obtain the marriage license which is a prerequisite for all marriages in New York State.
