The resolution read in part the "Town of Newburgh Town Board hereby opposes the rate increase for supply of electricity and natural gas which Central Hudson Gas & Electric has charged"
Certified copies of the resolution were forwarded to Hon. Kathleen Burgess, Secretary of the New York State Public Service Commission, Hon. William J. Larkin Jr. Senator for the 39th District, and the Hon. Frank Skartados, Assemblyman for the 104th District.
Town of Newburgh Town Supervisor Gil Piaquadio states " The town board is always looking out for the towns residents and it is hard to believe Central Hudson is requesting such a large increase"
